Lanzarote
Lanzarote is a land of contrasts, where the landscape seems born from the meeting of fire, wind and ocean.
Volcanoes, lava fields, dark rock and earth in unexpected colours alternate with a harsh, luminous coast, shaped without pause by the wind and the sea. In this almost primordial setting the human presence is discreet, often reduced to a few marks lost in the vastness of the island.
These photographs tell of Lanzarote through its spaces, its natural geometries and its light. An essential landscape, suspended between silence and matter, in which every form seems to hold the memory of its volcanic origin.
